Indian entrepreneur explains why China is ahead of the world
text_fieldsIndian entrepreneur Prakash Dadlani has offered a striking, real-world example of China’s industrial efficiency, highlighting how infrastructure and coordination can dramatically boost productivity.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Dadlani, who works in the electronic appliances sector, said he managed to visit four factories across three Chinese cities in a single day — something he credits entirely to China’s transport network and tightly integrated manufacturing ecosystem.
Detailing his schedule, Dadlani said he boarded a train from Hong Kong to mainland China at 8:20 am. By 11 am, he was at his first factory meeting. After lunch, he visited a second factory by 1:30 pm, a third by 3 pm, and a fourth by 4:30 pm. By 6:30 pm, he was back on a train to Hong Kong.
“3 cities, 4 factories, 1 day,” he wrote, calling the experience eye-opening. According to him, the pace was possible because of “insane infrastructure, tight ecosystems, train connectivity, and factories being super prepared.”
“Everything is ready for discussion. Quick in and out,” Dadlani added, noting that such efficiency is hard to quantify unless experienced firsthand.
The post has since sparked widespread discussion online, with many users pointing to China’s infrastructure-led productivity as a key reason for its dominance in global manufacturing, and contrasting it with logistical challenges faced by businesses elsewhere.
