New Delhi: Senior INDIA bloc leaders will join "loktantra bachao" rally that Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) will take out today in Delhi calling for protecting democracy.

AAP planned the protest in the wake of the arrest of the party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in money-laundering case.

While administration allowed 20,000 people for the rally, the AAP leadership expects a turnout that could fill Ramlila Maidan’s capacity of one lakh.

But Delhi police anticipates that the crowds could exceed 30,000.

Leaders of INDIA bloc to attend the rally include Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and former party president Rahul Gandhi along with Sonia Gandhi.

Others leaders of the INDIA bloc to turn up are Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, Rashtriya Janata Dal's Tejashwi Yadav, Nationalist Congress Party - Sharadchandra Pawar president Sharad Pawar, and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray.

It is reported that the mega rally will have in attendance leaders including Trinamool Congress' Derek O'Brien, National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren of JMM, CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI general secretary D Raja, and DMK's Tiruchi Siva.

The Delhi Police have issued traffic advisory in view of the rally outlaying diversions and changes in routes for commuters.
