New Delhi: Mother of a YouTuber in Uttar Pradesh accuses income tax department of wrongly framing her son over tax evasion.

Tax sleuths found Rs 24 lakh cash during raid at Taslim’s house who, officials said, is running a YouTube channel, NDTV reported.

Officials claimed that the YouTuber earned nearly Rs 1 crore but Taslim’s family said he is accused of earning money through illegal means.

YouTuber’s brother Feroze said Taslim posts videos related to share market on YouTube and pays income tax.

Feroze further claimed that they had already paid ₹ 4 lakh in taxes for their total YouTube income of ₹ 1.2 crore.

‘We do not do any wrong work. We run our YouTube channel, from which we earn a good income, this is the truth. This raid is a well-planned conspiracy,’ Feroze was quoted as saying.

Taslim's mother also reacted to the raid saying that her son is being wrongly framed.
