text_fieldsAfter joining the NCP, former BJP leader Eknath Khadse said that if anyone wanted to use the Enforcement Directorate against him, he would release a secret CD against them.
"The BJP's local leadership has used various agencies including Anti-Corruption Bureau agencies to harass me. If they continue to use ED against me, I will release the confidential CD which has secrets of some BJP leaders in it," he said.
On Friday, Khadse and his daughter Rohini left the BJP to join the NCP. The membership was taken in the presence of party chief Sharad Pawar.
"Several BJP leaders are making various allegations against me. The conspiracy to ruin my political career is strong. I had discussed all that with the leaders but the senior leaders of the BJP were helpless to help me. I left the party with no other option," Khadse said.
Following his resignation, Eknath Khadse alleged that former chief minister Fadnavis had ruined his life and that Fadnavis was the reason why he was leaving the party.
A prominent OBC leader in the state, Khadse had played a key role in the growth of the BJP in Maharashtra.
Khadse, who was the revenue minister in the Fadnavis cabinet resigned following the allegations against him for being corrupt.
Despite preparing to return to active politics, Khadse was denied a seat in the 2019 assembly elections by BJP. The BJP camp in Maharashtra has been in turmoil for the past few months and with Khadse's resignation, it has come to light.
