Home of a man who thrashed a teen razed in Madhya Pradesh
text_fieldsBhopal: A district administration in Madhya Pradesh razed the home of a man after he had brutally assaulted a 19-year-old woman for refusing his proposal, police said.
A bulldozer was seen in a viral video pulling down the walls of a squat house in Rewa district.
Earlier Pankaj Tripathi, 24, whose house was razed, allegedly slapped the woman, gabbing her hair and kicking her for refusing to marry him, a viral video showed, according to NDTV.
After the woman fell unconscious, Tripathi tried to steady her on her feet, and instructed his friend, who was recording the video, to delete the footage.
The woman remained unconscious for hours on the side of the road, before she was taken to a hospital by local later, according to the report.
Hours after the incident, Tripathi was arrested from Uttar Pradesh's Pradesh's Mirzapur on Saturday night, the police said.
Even after the arrest of the man, the district administration sent bulldozer over to pull down Tripathi’s home.
A large contingent of police stood guard just the razing went on till the house was completely razed.
Tripathi a driver by trade and his driving licence has been cancelled after the arrest.
A local policeman has been suspended for not initiating action against Tripathi.
