Uttar Pradesh: Hindu organisations in Uttar Pradesh warned to hold agitation if strict action was not taken against the principal and assistant teacher, who were suspended over the alleged 'Anti-Brahmin' slogan painted on school wall in Lalitpur government school. Office bearers of Karni Sena, Akhila Bharathiya Vidhyarthi Parishad, Hindu Yuva Vahini, All India Brahmin Maha Sabha, Brahmin Mahasangh and Parashuram Sena demanded criminal procedure action taken against the principal and teacher.

Ashok Goswami, The Sarva Brahmin Mahamandal Janakalyan Trust's President said that "if the government fails to take action against the two officials, Brahmin community will launch an agitation." Following this, the principal of the school Anil Kumar Rahul and assistant teacher Qadir Khan of Avni village in Talbehat were suspended for displaying objectionable content against Brahmins.

The remark was found during the inauguration of smart classes in the school. One of the remarks painted on the wall attributed to Dalit icon Dr B.R Ambedkar. However, the suspended principal backed the alleged remarks on wall. "Constitution maker B R Ambedkar made this comment to educate dalit society. This is not my personal comment. I had no intention of hurting anyone's feelings," he told in his clarification.

Following the controversy, the slogan written on the wall was later whitewashed. Meanwhile, few Brahmin Organizations in the state came forward by demanding the registration of a criminal case against the Basic Education Officer Ram Pravesh and Assistant BEO.
