Gauri Khan finally breaks silence on son Aryan Khan's arrest on Koffee With Karan 7
text_fieldsGauri Khan, who recently graced an episode of Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan 7, opened up about her son Aryan Khan's arrest in the drug case for the very first time since the incident.
In the 12th episode of Koffee With Karan 7, Gauri shared the couch with Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives stars Bhavana Pandey and Maheep Kapoor. She spoke about the case on the show.
Addressing the controversial case indirectly on Koffee With Karan 7, filmmaker and producer Karan told Gauri Khan, "It has been such a tough ride for him, and you all have emerged so strongly. I know you as a mother. We are members of the same family and I am a member of the same family. And, it hasn't been easy, and Gauri, you have emerged stronger than ever."
To this, Gauri spoke about Aryan Khan's arrest for the first time. She said, "Nothing can be worse than what we have just been through. But where we all stand as a family, I can say that we are in a great space. We feel loved. All our friends, and so many people whom we didn't know, so many messages and so much love. We feel blessed. We are grateful to everyone who helped us."
Aryan Khan was arrested in connection with the Mumbai cruise drugs case in October last year. After several court hearings, lots of drama, and 26 long days in custody later, the Bombay High Court granted him bail on October 28.
Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) from a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast in October 2021 on the allegation of drug consumption.
Aryan was cleared of all charges due to a lack of sufficient evidence in the drugs case for which he spent more than 20 days in custody. He finally walked out of jail once the paperwork was complete. The statements given by Arbaaz Merchantt, who was also arrested in the cruise drug bust case, revealed that Aryan Khan did not have drugs on him and had in fact asked Arbaaz not to carry any either.
Aryan Khan holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Cinematic Arts, and Television Production from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California in the United States. He did his schooling in the United Kingdom and Mumbai. Aryan Khan has two siblings, sister Suhana and brother AbRam.
