Former TRS Minister Eatala Rajender jumps ship to join BJP

Hyderabad: After resigning as Huzurabad MLA, former Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender jumped ship from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to join the BJP on Monday in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Pradhan, while welcoming Rajender, also said that the BJP would form government in the state after the next assembly elections.

Rajender, a senior leader of the TRS, relinquished his membership recently. He has held top portfolios such as finance and health in the K Chandrasekhar Rao led successive TRS governments in the state until he was removed from the cabinet over land-grabbing allegations.
