New Delhi: The Delhi Police have filed an FIR against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for using images of PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in social media posts.

The FIR was filed at the North Avenue police station on Monday after Brijesh Rai, office secretary of the Delhi unit of BJP, filed a complaint, The Indian Express reported.

The complaint pointed to various tweets that appeared on the AAP’s official handle on X in recent days carrying the images of PM Modi and Shah. Further investigations are underway.

The BJP and the AAP are engaged in an intense campaign for the Assembly polls using social media and AI technology.

The polls will take place on February 5 with the results to be out on February 8.
