Final voter list for 2025 Bihar Assembly election released by EC

The Election Commission announced that the final electoral roll, based on which the 2025 Bihar assembly elections will be conducted, has been published. Officials noted that the draft list under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise had been made public in August.
Opposition parties had raised concerns during the SIR process, pointing out that around 65 lakh names had been removed, citing reasons such as deaths, migration, or duplication.
According to the draft, there were 7.24 crore voters who had completed verification and submitted the required documents. The final list has now been uploaded on the Commission’s website, the Indian Express reported.
The Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar said that physical copies of the rolls would be distributed to District Election Officers, District Magistrates, and recognised political parties. During the claims and objections phase, about 16.59 lakh people applied through Form-6 to be included in the updated roll.
The Patna District Magistrate stated on X that the number of voters in the district has risen to 48,15,294. This figure, he pointed out, is 1,63,600 higher than the 46,51,694 voters listed in the draft roll released on August 1, 2025.
To check if your name has been included in the final voter list, follow these steps:
- Go to https://voters.eci.gov.in/
- Click on Download SIR Draft Roll or Click here to go directly to the site
- Select your district, assembly constituency, and language.
- Select ‘Final Roll-2025’ under the ‘Roll Type’ dropdown menu.
- Select the correct Part number and Name
- Fill in the correct Captcha.
- Click on ‘Download selected PDFs’.
