New Delhi: For those who can't wait until March 10 for the results in five states, exit polls could offer some glimpses into the outcome.

NDTV Poll of Polls has predicted BJP returning to power in three states: Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Manipur—besides giving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) a clear majority in Punjab.

In UP, BJP could surge past the majority mark of 202 with 231 seats, which is still several points short of its previous tally of 312 in 2017.

The poll guesses AP spreading its wings in Punjab winning 67 of 117-member Assembly. If that be the case, Congress will forfeit the only state it ruled in India—a curious case of complete wipeout first time in its history.

Another state where BJP is to make headway is Manipur winning 30 seats to power; it will retain power in Uttarakhand as well with 35 seats in the 70-member Assembly.

Goa will be in a dilemma with parties having to find a way out of the likely hung Assembly. BJP will emerge as the single largest party, with the Trinamool-MGP combine becoming the king-maker in Goa. The Congress has rejected the exit poll projections, saying they are not 'exact poll'.

Predictions by the Republic TV's Poll of the Polls puts the BJP back in power in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Manipur. Goa will be a political abeyance, whereas Punjab will see sweeping force of Aamadmi Party( AAP). The Republic TV predicts that the Samajwadi Party is likely to increase its seats in UP.
