Exam warrior Narendra Modi must apologise: Owaisi on NEET & NET
cancel

Hyderabad: AIMIM head Asaduddin Owaisi demanded that "Exam warrior" Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Cabinet minister must apologise unconditionally to the students of the country over the recent irregularities reported in major competitive exams held nationally.

He was reacting to the cancellation of CSIR-NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research- National Eligibility Test) along with the irregularities and alleged paper leak of the NEET-UG exam paper and the cancellation of UGC-NET and NEET-PG exam, Siasat reported.

He wrote on X, "Exam warrior @narendramodi has waged a war on our youth's future. First it was NEET UG (~23 lakh students), then UGC-NET (~9 lakh students). Then CSIR-NET was cancelled (~2 lakh students). NEET-PG (~2 lakh) was cancelled a night before the exam. The responsibility lies with Modi & his ministers. Our youth deserve an apology from the PM & justice from his govt."

On Friday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that the June edition of the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-NET) has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and logistic issues.

Two days before that, the agency cancelled the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) within 24 hours of its conduct, stating that the integrity of the examination was compromised. Also, the massive row on NEET over alleged irregularities is before the Supreme Court.

On Saturday, the Union Health Ministry announced that it has decided to postpone the NEET-PG entrance examination. The exam was scheduled to be conducted on June 23. The ministry said that the move was a precautionary measure following allegations of irregularities in exams held by NTA.
