Ex-J&K Governor offered Rs 300 Cr; government suggest CBI probe
cancel

Jammu: Following the allegations raised by the former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik that he was offered a bribe of Rs 300 crore, the administration here suggested a CBI probe into the matter, IANS reported.

Addressing a function in Rajasthan in October last year, Malik had said that two files reached him for consideration, and one of his secretaries told him that if I approve them, he will be rewarded Rs 150 crore each. He turned the offer down, saying he had brought five five 'kurta-pyjamas' to Kashmir and will just go back with them, he had said.

According to Malik, the bribe was in return for clearing files of two large industrial houses. He refused the offer and cancelled the deals, he said.
