"I don't need vaccine right now": Haryana Health Minister
text_fieldsAs the second phase of Covid vaccination kick starts in the country, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij took to Twitter to announce that he shall not be receiving the vaccine.
"Today, corona vaccine is starting for the people. Now there should be no hesitation at all. I will not be able to receive a dose as, after a Covid infection, my antibody count is 300, which is a lot. Maybe the trial vaccine I had taken had a role in that. I don't need vaccine right now," Vij tweeted.
Vij had volunteered for the third phase of Covaxin trial and received the first dose in November '20. Before he received the second dose, however, he contracted Covid-19 and was hospitalized in December '20.
The second phase of vaccinations started today with PM Modi as the beneficiary. He received Bharat BioTech's Covaxin from AIIMS, Delhi.
