Do not seek to make me minister: Udhayanidhi Stalin to DMK workers
text_fieldsChennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's son Udhayanidhi Stalin thanked his party workers for their trust in him but urged them not to push the party leadership to make him a minister.
The lawmaker from Chepauk-Triplicane asked Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) officials not to pass resolutions to make him minister, embarrassing the party high command, according to The Indian Express.
Udhayanidhi Stalin was responding to party functionaries' meetings in in Tiruchirapalli, Dindigul and Thanjavur, Udhayanidhi demanding the party high command to induct the young leader into the state cabinet.
He said that the party high command knew best when and what decision to make.
He said that as well as doing his duty as a lawmaker he was touring across the state in his capacity as the party's youth wing secretary, trying to bring the party close to youngsters.
Udhayanidhi Stalin urged his partymen to workhard according to the orders of the party president MK Stalin.
