Delhi woman kills herself after partner forced abortions 14 times

New Delhi: A woman in Delhi killed herself on July 5 after her live-in partner forced her to undergo abortions multiple times, police said.
A suicide note left behind by the 33-year-old woman from the Jaitpur area of Southeast Delhi revealed she was having a relationship with a man reportedly working at a software firm.
The man is reported to have indulged in physical relationship with her on the pretext of marrying her, according to India Today.
He allegedly forced her to undergo abortions 14 times and refused to marry her which according to reports had driven her to the extreme act.
The police have booked the live-in partner on charges of abetment to suicide and rape.
On July 5, Police were alerted about the suicide of a woman in Jaitpur and found the woman hanging at a house.
DCP (Southeast) Esha Pandey said the woman was declared brought dead by AIIMS.
Police said she may have been living separately from her partner for the last 7-8 years.
