Delhi sees 357 COVID-19 deaths,highest ever in a day
text_fieldsNEW DELHI: Delhi recorded the highest daily rise in covid-19 deaths on Saturday, with 357 deaths being reported in the Capital, along with over 24,000 new cases of virus infections, says the latest bulletin issued by the city health department.
The data has also revealed that the number of active coronavirus cases in the national capital has climbed to 93,080, inching closer to the on-lakh mark. 13,898 deaths are reported so far.
The positivity rate stood at 32.27 per cent, data added.
The number of containment zones in the city has jumped to 24,802 from 22,000 and a total of 50,285 patients are under home quarantine while the remaining active cases are admitted in hospitals, covid care centres, and other designated health centres said the bulletin.
