Delhi police arrest two aides of Khalistani terrorists linked to gang Leader Sukha Duneke

New Delhi: The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has apprehended two individuals believed to be associated with the Arshdeep Dalla-Sukha Duneke gang.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Harjeet Singh alias Harry Maud and Harry Rajoura alias Bada Harry.
This development follows the recent killing of gangster Sukhdul Singh, also known as Sukha Duneke, in the Canadian city of Winnipeg on September 20. Sukha Duneke was among Punjab's most wanted criminals, and his murder is suspected to be a result of inter-gang rivalry. He was implicated in numerous cases, including murder, attempted murder, and robbery, with at least 18 cases registered against him.
Sukha Duneke had close ties with Arshdeep Dalla, a Canada-based gangster-turned-terrorist.
A significant diplomatic dispute has arisen between India and Canada over the alleged assassination of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. In June 2023, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau suggested that India may have played a role in Nijjar's murder, an allegation strongly denied by India.
These allegations have strained relations between the two countries. India has suspended visas for Canadians, trade talks have been canceled, and there have been reports of threats against Indian diplomats in Canada.
The Khalistan issue, a Sikh separatist movement, has long been a source of tension between India and Canada, with Canada being home to a substantial Sikh population and some Sikh Canadians supporting the Khalistan movement. India has accused Canada of not taking sufficient measures to combat Sikh extremism on its soil.
The diplomatic dispute between the two countries is expected to persist, casting uncertainty on the timeline for resolving the situation.
