New Delhi: Exactly 12 hours after a schoolgirl in Delhi was attacked with acid, police arrested three men, who allegedly planned it all to mislead the police.

She came under the acid attack in southwest Delhi's Dwarka, which happened to be captured on CCTV.

The three have been identified as Sachin Arora, 20; Harshit Aggarwal, 19, and Virender Singh, 22.

Police said that the trio planned it all 'meticulously' to hoodwink the police from reaching them.

The 17-year-old schoolgirl suffered serious injuries and is getting care in the Safdarjung Hospital here.

It looks like they had it all planned down to the last detail. Sachin Harshit came on a motorbike to target the girl.

Afterwards, Virender, another suspect, took Sachin's scooter and mobile to another location, according to NDTV.

They wanted to create the alibit that they were not in the area at the time of the incident.

Senior police officer Sagar Preet Hooda said that they ordered the acid on Flipkart.

Sachin decided to attack the girl after he fell out with her in September, the police said.

Senior police officer Sagar Preet Hooda reportedly said that it was found from 'technical evidence' that the accused bought acid from Flipkart.

The police added that based on inputs from witnesses, the accused were identified and arrested.

The teenager reportedly suffered 8 per cent burns, while Dr BL Sherwal from the hospital was quoted as saying that depth of the wounds can be known between 48 and 72 hours.
