Delhi Govt deploys nodal officers to monitor Covid care in pvt facilities
text_fieldsNew Delhi: The Delhi administration has sent senior nursing officers to supervise the treatment of Covid patients and the vaccination process at private institutions, PTI reported. The government also directed public hospitals to fill the vacancies of retired or transferred nurses.
The health department issued an order on Tuesday which said that the competent authority is pleased to deploy senior nursing officers as nodal officers in various private health care facilities from Delhi government hospitals to monitor the management of Covid -19 patients along with monitoring of Covid vaccination.
Meanwhile, the national capital recorded 11,684 new covid-19 cases and 38 more deaths. However, the health department bulletin said that the test positivity rate dropped to 22.47 per cent. On Monday, the tally stood at 12,527 fresh cases and 24 deaths, while the test positivity rate was 27.99 per cent. In total, 2,730 people are hospitalized now, and 139 out of them are on the ventilator.
As of January 16, Delhi had vaccinated 29 million doses, while 16.5 million people here have taken the first dose, and 12 million have taken both doses.
According to Union Health Ministry, India logged 2,82,970 new Covid-19 cases and 441 in the last 24 hours until 8:00 am Wednesday. Active caseload reached 18.31 lakh, and the daily positivity rate reached 15.13 per cent.
