New Delhi: Delhi-based spiritual guru Chaitanyananda Saraswati, who allegedly molested 19 students, claimed in his profile he holds an MBA and a PhD among other qualifications.

On the run after the allegations surfaced, Chaitanyananda Saraswati built up the public image of a highly qualified management guru as well as a celebrated author.

His profile on academic research-sharing platforms showcases an MBA and a PhD from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business , post-doctoral degrees and DLitt alongside seven honorary DLitt degrees from Universities in India and abroad.

The tall claims have appeared in the author profile of his books available on e-commerce platforms.

Delhi Police reportedly suspect the validity of many of these claims, as an investigation is on to confirm them.

Chaitanyananda introduces himself on the covers of the books as an ‘internationally acclaimed writer’ of 28 books and 143 research papers.

One of his books Forget Classroom Learning carries a foreword by Apple founder Steve Jobs.

Jobs is quoted on the front page as saying that Chaitanyananda's book is "an unprecedented preparatory and guiding manual for the applied world of management".

The author profile claims that former US President Barack Obama repeatedly referred to Chaitanyananda's book ‘Transforming Personality’ during his election campaign speech.

The books is claimed to be one of the best sellers in the European and North American markets in 2007.

It carries an appreciation from Ban Ki-Moon, former Secretary General of the United Nations.

The profiles on a book says that Chaitanyananda is an ‘eminent professor, noted author, orator, educationist, spiritual philosopher and philanthropist, and an eminent personality of management academia in India and abroad’.

Chaitanyananda faces allegations of sexually harassing students at Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management in Vasant Kunj, of which he was the director.

A lookout circular has been issued to prevent him from fleeing the country.
