Jaipur: IN the case of the death of two Muslim men who were burnt inside a car in Haryana, a Rajasthan court sent one of the accused to police remand on Saturday. Cow vigilantes allegedly kidnapped the victims, PTI reported.

"The arrested accused, Rinku Saini, was produced before the court today from where he was sent to five days police remand. The accused will be further interrogated," Station House Office, Gopalgarh, Ramnaresh Meena, said.

But he added that no fresh arrest had been made in the case so far.

The family members of the victims accused five men, who are members of the right-wing Hindutva outfit Bajrang Dal, in their complaint to the police. One of the main accused in the case is Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar, the Gurugram district president of Bajrang Dal.

Saini, 32, a resident of Firozpur Jhirka in Haryana's Nuh district, was arrested on the basis of interrogation and technical analysis on Friday night. He worked as a taxi diver and was involved with a cow vigilante group, the police said.

It was on Wednesday, Nasir (25) and Junaid alias Juna (35) were allegedly abducted by cow vigilantes, and their bodies were found inside a burnt car in Loharu in Bhiwani in Haryana on Thursday morning. Both were residents of Ghatmeeka village in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan.

Police claimed that Junaid had a criminal record of cattle smuggling, and five cases were registered against him at different police stations.

The last rites of the victims, who were related to each other, were conducted on Friday after authorities announced financial aid of ₹ 20.5 lakhs to each of the affected families.

He was earlier named in an attempt to murder case registered at Pataudi police station in Gurugram on February 7. Manu Manesar, who is on the run, claimed in a video message that he had nothing to do with the murders.
