Mumbai: A Mumbai special court allowed Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's plea, seeking the return of his passport. Aryan Khan was an accused in the drugs-on-cruise case but secured a clean chit from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), PTI reported.

Khan had submitted his passport before the court as part of his bail conditions. He was arrested last October, but he, along with five others, was let off by NCB, stating lack of evidence, in May.

On June 30, he had moved an application before the special court hearing cases related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act through his lawyers, Amit Desai and Rahul Agarwal. He sought the return of his passport, contenting that the charge sheet did not name him.

The NCB responded that it had no objection to returning his passport. The special court judge, VV Patil, then allowed Aryan's plea to take his passport back.

The 24-year-old was arrested on October 3, 2021, in a raid on a ship off the coast of Mumbai. He spent more than 20 days in prison before getting bail from the Bombay High Court.
