Malkhan, a 45-year-old construction worker, was allegedly beaten to death for asking for his daily payment in Uttar Pradesh. A few men thrashed Malkhan following an argument when he went asking for his payment in Behta Jaisingh village in Sambhal.

Though he was rushed to the hospital, he did not survive. An FIR has been registered under relevant IPC sections on the complaint of the victim's brother. One of the four accused has been arrested.

"The preliminary investigation found one Bhura of the same village as the prime accused. He attacked Malkhan on his head with an iron rod, following an argument. The accused has been arrested, and the body of the victim has been sent for post-mortem," said Sambhal Superintendent of Police, Chakresh Mishra.
