New Delhi: The Indian National Congress (INC) has demanded the Central government to name the new parliament building after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of Indian Constitution.

The party has decided to stage a demonstration on 10 December, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lay foundation stone for the new complex.

Dr. Udit Raj, national spokesperson of AICC, in a tweet asked his supporters to reach 192 North Avenue on the day to stage a protest a march to Jantar Mantar.

In a following tweet, the ex-MP asked who could have objected to naming the complex in the name of Ambedkar.
