New Delhi: Captain Fatima Wasim has etched her name in history by becoming the first woman medical officer to be deployed to an operational post on the treacherous Siachen Glacier. The Indian Army's Fire and Fury Corps announced this milestone on [X], emphasizing Captain Fatima Wasim's exceptional dedication and motivation.

Having undergone rigorous training at the renowned Siachen Battle School, Captain Fatima Wasim was inducted into a post at an astounding altitude of 15,200 feet. The challenging terrain and extreme weather conditions of Siachen Glacier, known as the highest-altitude battle site in the world.
