BSP MP Danish Ali responds to BJP's provocation accusation after Lok Sabha abuse
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party member Danish Ali has countered the BJP's claims that he provoked BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri, who directed communal slurs at him in the Lok Sabha.
Danish Ali stated that the BJP was attempting to create a false narrative against him and clarified that he was actually working to have the abusive language expunged from the parliamentary records.
During a discussion in the Lok Sabha on the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, Ramesh Bidhuri used offensive and communal language against Danish Ali, sparking widespread condemnation from both politicians and social media users. The BJP subsequently issued a show-cause notice to Bidhuri and asked him to explain his conduct.
However, on the following day, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, while condemning Bidhuri's language, wrote to Speaker Om Birla, demanding an investigation into Danish Ali's alleged "unsavory" conduct. Dubey claimed that during Bidhuri's speech, Danish Ali engaged in a "running commentary" and made objectionable remarks in an attempt to hinder Bidhuri and provoke him into losing his composure.
Dubey further alleged that Danish Ali made a "highly objectionable and blasphemous remark" against PM Modi at the top of his voice, suggesting that this statement could provoke any patriotic public representative to lose their calm. He requested the Speaker to investigate the remarks made by Danish Ali as well.
