Gwalior: Two women constables from the Border Security Force (BSF) Academy in Gwalior have gone missing, prompting the BSF to file a missing persons report with the local police. The police are currently conducting a search for the two women.

The missing constables have been identified as Akanksha Nikhar from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, and Shahana Khatoon from Murshidabad, West Bengal. Reports indicate that both women left their hostel without their mobile phones and disappeared.

Akanksha Nikhar has been stationed at the BSF Academy in Tekanpur since 2021. She became friends with Shahana Khatoon Ansari in 2023. The two developed a close friendship, with Shahana visiting Akanksha's home in Jabalpur earlier this year. They also traveled together to West Bengal, where Akanksha stayed at Shahana's house.

On the night of June 6, Akanksha's family received a call from the BSF Academy inquiring if she had returned home, revealing her absence alongside Shahana. Subsequently, the BSF filed a missing persons report at the Bilaua police station. Their last known whereabouts were recorded on June 7 in Howrah, West Bengal, and later that night at Berhampore railway station in Murshidabad, according to TOI.
