Jaipur: Just hours after the Election Commission announced the poll dates for Rajasthan, the BJP unveiled its first list of 41 candidates for the upcoming elections, which are scheduled for November 23, with the vote counting slated for December 3.

Among the candidates listed, seven Members of Parliament (MPs) have been named, revealing the party's intent to field prominent leaders in the state assembly polls.

The seven MPs and their respective constituencies are as follows: Diya Kumari (Vidhyadhar Nagar), Bhagirath Choudhary (Kishangarh), Kirodi Lal Meena (Sawai Madhopur), Devji Patel (Sanchore), Narendra Kumar (Mandawa), Rajyavardhan Rathod (Jhotwara), and Baba Balaknath (Tijara).

These candidate selections were finalised during a meeting of the party's Central Election Committee (CEC) held on October 1, presided over by BJP Chief JP Nadda. Notably, this significant gathering also featured Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

In a strategic move, the BJP has nominated three Union Ministers, namely Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel, and Faggan Singh Kulaste, along with four Lok Sabha members, as candidates for the Madhya Pradesh polls, highlighting the party's intent to leverage its influential leaders in these key state elections.
