BJP chief Nitin Nabin to lead ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ marches in Bihar, Bengal
text_fieldsBJP national president Nitin Nabin will lead ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ (Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy) padyatras in Bihar and West Bengal on Monday as part of the party's nationwide campaign against what it describes as misinformation and organised anarchy spread by the Opposition.
According to the BJP's Bihar unit, Nabin will lead the first march in Bhagalpur on November 2. The padyatra will begin at 11 am from Lajpat Park and conclude at Seva Jyoti Chowk at 12.30 pm.
He will then travel to Kolkata to lead the second march of the day. According to a BJP press note, the procession will start at College Street at 3 pm and end at Dharmatala at 5.30 pm.
The BJP has described the campaign as an effort to counter what it calls the Opposition's lies, deception and fabricated narratives. The party said its workers were reaching out to villages and households to present what it considers the truth and promote democratic values.
Senior party leaders, state BJP presidents, thousands of party workers and members of the public are expected to participate in the marches.
The BJP has said similar programmes will be organised across the country as part of its nationwide campaign.
