Bengaluru: Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, is set to make his first visit to Karnataka since the announcement of the general elections, prompting the BJP to make extensive preparations for his arrival.

Shah's special flight is slated to touch down at Bengaluru's HAL Airport at 11 pm on Monday, marking the commencement of his visit to the state.

The BJP has planned a grand rally at the Palace Grounds in Bengaluru, accompanied by a roadshow in Channapatna town within the Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday.

"HM Shah will also hold a series of meetings with party leaders during his visit," a party spokesperson confirmed.

Efforts are underway to ensure the success of the rally, with the BJP mobilizing party workers from across the Bengaluru Rural parliamentary constituency for the roadshow.

The BJP has nominated the son-in-law of former Prime Minister, HD Deve Gowda, as its candidate for the Bengaluru Rural seat.

Meanwhile, the Congress has fielded DK Suresh, the sitting MP and brother of Karnataka Deputy CM, DK Shivakumar, as its candidate in the constituency.

In addition to the planned events, Shah will convene a meeting of JD(S) and BJP leaders in the morning, further cementing the party's strategies for the upcoming elections.
