In his election affidavit, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared assets worth * 1,54,94,054. These include cash in hand, balances in bank accounts, and fixed deposits.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, accompanied by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, filed his nomination papers on Friday for the assembly elections from Gorakhpur Urban constituency.

According to the affidavit, Chief Minister Yogi owns gold earrings weighing 20 grams, worth $49,500, and a gold chain with Rudraksha, worth $20,000, worth $12,000. He also owns a smartphone worth $12,000, according to the affidavit.

In the affidavit, Yogi Adityanath declared that he owns a revolver worth nearly one million rupees and a rifle worth eighty thousand.

Having explained his earnings over the past five years, Yogi Adityanath affirmed in his affidavit that his incomes were: ₹ 13,20,653 in the FY 2020-21, ₹ 15,68,799 in FY 2019-20, ₹ 18,27,639 in FY 2018-19, ₹ 14,38,670 in FY 2017-18 and ₹ 8,40,998 in FY 2016-17.

According to Yogi Adityanath's affidavit, he does not own any agricultural or non-agricultural properties. Moreover, he claims to have no liabilities. He also said he holds a Bachelor's degree in Science.

On March 3, the Gorakhpur Urban seat of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will go to the polls for the first time as Yogi Adityanath, a five-term MP from Gorakhpur, will contest the polls for the first time.

Prior to filing nominations for the state Assembly elections, Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at Gorakhnath temple.

On February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7, there will be voting in Uttar Pradesh. The results will be tallied on March 10.

A landslide victory for the BJP in the 2017 Assembly elections won the party 312 seats. The party secured a 39.67 percent vote share in the 702 Assembly seats. Samajwadi Party (SP) secured 47 seats, BSP won 19 and Congress won seven.
