50 ambulances and dedicated medical staff to be present at G20 summit venue, hotels, and airport
text_fieldsNew Delhi: An extensive medical infrastructure is being put in place in Delhi to ensure the safety and well-being of participants in anticipation of the upcoming G20 Summit.
Official sources have revealed that a total of 50 ambulances staffed with trained medical personnel will be strategically stationed at hotels, airports, and the main G20 Summit venue, Bharat Mandapam. These measures are being taken to effectively manage any potential medical emergencies that may arise during the event.
In the interest of preparedness, prominent hospitals such as RML and AIIMS are poised to handle any unforeseen medical contingencies that may emerge. Complementing this effort, the presence of 50 fully-equipped ambulances will be distributed near key locations, including hotels, airports, and the G20 Summit venue itself.
The meticulous medical arrangements extend to the summit's core venue as well. Organisers have ensured that teams comprising dedicated medical professionals will be on duty 24/7, poised to provide immediate medical assistance to visiting delegates in case of any health-related emergencies.
The comprehensive planning for medical contingencies also includes a review by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, who is expected to oversee and assess the medical preparedness in the context of the G20 Summit.
The forthcoming G20 Summit is slated to take place in Delhi on September 9 and 10. As India took over the G20 Presidency on December 1 of the previous year, the country is well-prepared to host the summit's proceedings.
Recognised as the premier forum for international economic cooperation, the G20 encompasses nations that collectively represent around 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of global trade, and approximately two-thirds of the global population.
