In Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, a 24-year-old guy alleges to have been bitten by a snake seven times in the previous forty days. Vikas Dubey is the man that has been identified.

Chief Medical Officer Rajiv Nayan Giri responded to the situation by stating that the victim had asked the authorities for financial assistance.

"The victim came to the Collectorate and cried that he had spent a lot of money to cure the snake bite and now he requested for financial help from the authorities. I advised him to visit a government-run hospital where he could get anti-snake venom free of cost," Giri told ANI on Friday.

The Chief Medical Officer went on to say that a team of three doctors had been assembled to look into the situation, Free Press Journal reported.

"This is why we thought of forming a team to investigate the case, after which I will tell the people the truth of the matter," he added.

Every time the snake bit Vikas Dubey, officials said, he was taken to the hospital and recovered after receiving care.
