Tiger Woods, Vanessa Trump make romance official on social media
text_fieldsSan Diego: Tiger Woods has officially confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, sharing two intimate images on social media with the caption, “Love is in the air.”
Woods and Vanessa Trump, who was previously married to Donald Trump Jr. for 12 years, had been the subject of speculation in recent weeks after being spotted together at Torrey Pines in San Diego. They were seen alongside her daughter, Kai, as Woods arrived to present the winner’s trophy at the Genesis Invitational, where he serves as tournament host.
Kai Trump attends the Benjamin School, the same institution as Woods’ children, Sam and Charlie. She and Charlie recently participated in a prestigious junior golf tournament.
“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together,” Woods posted on X, where he has 6.4 million followers. He also requested privacy for those close to them.
One of the shared photos shows Woods and Vanessa Trump posing together, while the other captures them lying in a hammock, her arm resting across his chest as he gazes skyward.
Their relationship had already been making headlines in gossip circles, but Woods’ decision to publicly acknowledge it surprised many, given his usual reluctance to discuss his personal life. It echoed a similar move in 2013 when he and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn simultaneously posted pictures confirming their romance, aiming to reduce paparazzi intrusion. At the time, Woods had explained that revealing their relationship themselves would help minimize media frenzy and lessen the value of unauthorized photos taken by paparazzi.
Vanessa Trump shares five children with Donald Trump Jr. Meanwhile, Woods has two children from his marriage to Elin Nordegren, which ended in 2010 following revelations of his multiple extramarital affairs.
Woods’ most recent public relationship was with Erica Herman, lasting nearly seven years before he ended it in October 2022. Their breakup was marked by legal battles, though Herman eventually dropped lawsuits against Woods and the trust that owns his Florida estate, where she had been residing.
The announcement comes shortly after Woods revealed on March 11 that he had ruptured his left Achilles tendon, ruling him out of the Masters and likely sidelining him for the rest of the year.
