Shah Rukh Khan is returning to theatres after half a decade and Pathaan's crew just released its trailer. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the spy thriller appears to be high on fashion sequences and fans are impressed.

The trailer has confirmed that John Abraham plays a terrorist working for a private terror organisation Outfit X which is planning a massive attack on India. Authorities are calling Pathaan, an exiled RAW field operative to take down Outfit X. Deepika Padukone is also seen in a bold and powerful avatar. Fans are speculating that she probably plays a Pakistani spy working with Pathaan to stop terrorists.

This is the first time Shah Rukh Khan has done a complete action-focused film. The sleek fight sequences have left the audience wanting more. In the short video, the fight sequences between John Abraham and SRK looked refreshing. Deepika also looks original after doing a slew of period dramas in the past few years.

The supporting cast of Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia also left a mark in the trailer. However, the cameo of Salman Khan did not make an appearance in the trailer.

Pathaan will hit the screens on 25th January in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Actors across India are pouring in their support for the film. Dulquer Salman shared the trailer on Twitter and wrote: "All hail the king!!! Cannot wait." Director Anurag Kashyap tweeted: "Aa gaya Pathaan! Jai Hind!" RRR actor Ram Charan wished the team the best and wrote that he is looking forward to seeing SRK in action sequences like never before. SRK promptly replied: "Thank you so much my Mega Power Star Ram Charan. When your RRR team brings Oscar to India, please let me touch it.(Mee RRR team Oscar ni intiki tecchinappudu okkasaari nannu daanini touch cheyyanivvandi). Love you."
