‘Parasites enter successful people’s lives’: Singer targets Trisha

Chennai: Rumours linking Vijay and Trisha Krishnan have intensified on social media in recent months, especially after reports emerged that Vijay’s wife Sangeetha Sornalingam, had approached the court seeking divorce. Speculation further increased after videos of Vijay and Trisha attending a wedding function together in March went viral online. Trisha’s presence at Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister also drew widespread public attention.

Though neither Vijay nor Trisha has publicly responded to the rumours or the controversy surrounding their relationship, Trisha shared her first social media post from the ceremony, with the caption quickly becoming a talking point amid ongoing speculation surrounding her relationship with Vijay.

Amid the controversy, comments made earlier by singer Suchitra have resurfaced online. In a past interview, Suchitra had criticised Trisha and claimed Vijay had become increasingly isolated from his family, including his parents and wife. She also suggested that the actor had not reflected properly on his personal life and surrounding influences.

“I like Vijay very much. I am saying this honestly without taking anyone’s side. I do not like Trisha at all. I am saying this objectively. When successful people become isolated, parasites can enter their lives. Vijay has become distant from his parents and wife. He has still not done proper self-reflection,” Kaumudi Online quoted Suchitra’s statement at an interview.

Reports claim that Sangeetha filed for divorce in December 2025, citing mental distress and betrayal in the petition. Vijay and Sangeetha have been married for 27 years. The next hearing in the divorce case is scheduled for June 15.
