Shah Rukh Khan held at Mumbai airport for carrying luxury watches
text_fieldsMumbai: The Customs Department at Mumbai Airport stopped actor Shah Rukh Khan after luxury watches were found in the baggage of the actor and his entourage last night, according to NDTV.
The actor who was returning from Sharjah reportedly left the airport after paying ₹ 6.83 lakh in Customs Duty.
The Bollywood star landed at Terminal 3 of Mumbai International Airport on a private jet.
While Khan and his manager were able to leave the airport after completing formalities, those accompanying him including his bodyguard left the airport only in the morning.
Customs reportedly found six luxury watches valuing around ₹ 18 lakh in the baggage of the actor.
Khan was honoured with the Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative Award at Sharjah International Book Fair 2022 yesterday.
