Saif Ali Khan calls himself left-wing, quite unlike his character in Vikram Vedha
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Actor Saif Ali Khan candidly said that he is left-leaning and liberal in his worldview.
In an interview with Biz Asia, Khan said he doesn't necessarily agree with the morality of his cop character, an encounter specialist, in Vikram Vedha.
Saif stopped in the middle of saying that encounter scenes even in movies are quite disturbing before adding that he is left-leaning and liberal.
Vikram Vedha, to be released on Friday in threatres, is a remake of the Tamil film starring Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan.
Pushkar-Gayathri, who also directed the original, has on board Hrithik Roshan as the villain aside from Radhika Apte, Yogita Bihani and Rohit Saraf.
Saif said that his character does things that cinematically quite disturbing but he is convinced that he is doing so because it is required.
The philosophy of his character Vikram, Saif said, is break the law for the greater good which is different from the one he holds, according to The Indian Express.
