The Hindi dubbed version of "Kalki 2898 AD," directed by Nag Ashwin, has achieved remarkable success at the box office over its four-day extended opening weekend.

The film, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, opened with Rs 21 crore on a working Thursday, followed by Rs 22 crore on Friday. It saw a significant jump to Rs 25.50 crore on Saturday, and on Sunday, it reached an estimated Rs 35.50 to 36.50 crore, bringing the total to Rs 105 crore in four days.

Kalki 2898 AD has entered the Rs 100 crore club in just four days.

Depending on final figures from various regions, the total could approach Rs 37 crore. This achievement makes it the sixth Prabhas film to reach this milestone in Hindi, following Bahubali, Bahubali 2, Saaho, Adipurush, and Salaar. Since 2015, all Prabhas starrers have crossed Rs 100 crore in the Hindi market, except for Radhe Shyam, reaffirming his status as a bankable star.

On Sunday alone, national chains grossed approximately Rs 20 crore (NBOC: Rs 16.90 crore), contributing around 45% of the total business. The film faced capacity issues at multiple locations, indicating a strong overflow audience expected on Monday, suggesting a prolonged successful run. The four-day performance hints at a clear hit, but the Monday hold will solidify its long-term success.

Despite being a sci-fi film, Kalki 2898 AD has garnered significant support from mass audiences, thanks to its Mahabharata backdrop and star-studded cast. The film aims to reach Rs 200 crore by the end of the second week and potentially finish north of Rs 250 crore. Positive word of mouth could drive its performance in the coming weeks, indicating a long theatrical run.

Globally, Kalki 2898 AD has amassed over Rs 450 crore in its four-day weekend.

This impressive figure underscores its massive appeal and potential for big results at the global box office, positioning it as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
