Kalki 2898 AD approaches ₹500 crore milestone on day 10

The box office success of "Kalki 2898 AD" continues to impress as the film approaches the ₹500 crore mark.

On its tenth day, the Nag Ashwin-directed film earned ₹34.45 crore across all languages, bringing its total collection to ₹466 crore, according to a Sacnilk report.

"Kalki 2898 AD" is a mythological sci-fi drama featuring Prabhas as Bhairava, Deepika Padukone as Sumati, Disha Patani as Roxie, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwathama, and Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin.

The film also includes cameo appearances by Mrunal Thakur, Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, Vijay Deverakonda, and Dulquer Salmaan.

It has been released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the week one box office figures for the Hindi version of "Kalki 2898 AD" on X (formerly Twitter). He noted the film's strong performance, highlighting its excellent total in its extended first week. Adarsh pointed out that positive word-of-mouth started influencing ticket sales from day one, leading to significant growth over the weekend, despite the distraction of the T20 World Cup Final between India and South Africa on Saturday.

Adarsh added that "Kalki 2898 AD" maintained solid numbers throughout the weekdays, consistently hitting double digits. While some mass-market areas slowed down from Tuesday onwards, major centers continued to see energetic footfalls, compensating for any shortfall.

As the film moves into its second week, it is expected to achieve substantial numbers over the upcoming weekend, potentially crossing the ₹200 crore mark and becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024, surpassing the lifetime business of "Fighter."

The film's detailed box office breakdown for its first week in India, as shared by Taran Adarsh, includes:

- Thursday: ₹22.50 crore

- Friday: ₹23.25 crore

- Saturday: ₹26.25 crore

- Sunday: ₹40.15 crore

- Monday: ₹16.50 crore

- Tuesday: ₹13 crore

- Wednesday: ₹11.50 crore

- Thursday: ₹10.10 crore

Total: ₹163.25 crore net box office collection for the Hindi version in India.
