Indian-American singer Falguni Shah wins Grammy Award for Best Childrens Music Album

Falguni Shah is flying colours with her unique music winning coveted Grammy Award.

Indian-American singer's "A Colourful World" won the Best Children's Music Album.

Hitting Instagram, Falu as she is called shared her excitement at the news.

"I have no words to describe today's magic. What an honour to perform for the opening number of the GRAMMY Premier Ceremony, and then take home a statue on behalf of all the incredible people who worked on A Colorful World," she wrote in the caption.

Born in India, Falu is now based in New York singing and writing songs, blending classical Indian music with western sounds.

Coming to limelight and later achieving stardom, Falu worked with musicians including A R Rahman, and Philip Glass, among others.

During her time in India, Falu picked up classical music honing her skills under Ustad Sultan Khan and later moving to USA, she continued to explore music.
