Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcome second baby girl

Actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on September 19, 2026.
The couple announced the news through a joint Instagram post featuring a picture of a baby’s footprint. The announcement card read “Welcome Baby Girl” and carried the date 19|9|2026 along with the names Dua, Deepika and Ranveer.
The couple’s second daughter was born two years after their first child, Dua, who was born on September 8, 2024. Deepika and Ranveer announced their second pregnancy on April 19, 2026, in a social media post featuring Dua holding a pregnancy test kit.
A day before announcing the birth, the couple visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings. They arrived in traditional attire and were surrounded by security as fans gathered outside. Ranveer had also visited the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal earlier in the week, where he offered prayers and interacted with fans.
Deepika and Ranveer married on November 18, 2018, in a destination wedding at Lake Como, Italy.
Deepika has previously spoken about how motherhood changed her life. In an October 2025 interview with CNBC-TV18, she said becoming a parent pushed her beyond her comfort zone and made her more social through interactions with other parents and her daughter’s playschool.
The couple had also shared glimpses of their second pregnancy, including photographs from a maternity photoshoot featuring their daughter.
