Kolkata: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has released the BJP's manifesto, named Sankalp Patra, for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections at Eastern Zone Cultural Centre (EZCC) in Kolkata.

"We have decided to call our manifesto a 'Sankalp Patra'. It is not just a manifesto but a resolution letter for West Bengal by the country's largest party. And at the heart of BJP's manifesto is 'Sonar Bangla'," the Minister said.

The manifesto assures 33 per cent reservation for women in state government jobs, financial support of Rs 6000 per year for all fishermen, and benefit to 75 lakh farmers through the Kisan Samman Nidhi. He also added that there would be no need for court permissions for Durga Puja and Saraswati Puja.

"Infiltration will be completely stopped, and border fencing will to be strengthened with the installations of CCTVs cameras," he stressed.

Additionally, Shah took a dig at the opponent Trinamool Congress at the event, alleging that the current government has only politicised its administration, criminalised politics and institutionalised the practice of corruptions.
