Manama: The relationship between God and man is sometimes beyond the realm of human comprehension. A close bond rich with supernatural sensations takes its origin in such a relationship. The novel 'The Call of Mahadev', which tells the story of a young man and the complex phases of his journey in pursuit of spirituality, has found a place in the hearts of the readers.

The novel depicts the amazing journey of Raghu, who longs to meet the God of Kailash, whose abode is the Himalayas. Here the reader can decipher the internal conflicts caused by the mundane and spiritual realms of life in Raghu.. Novelist Amit Bansal has succeeded in portraying the events of Raghu's pilgrimage to Mount Kailash in an emotional way. The story of Amit Bansal, who works in the banking industry in Bahrain, is based on what he heard and saw during his studies at the Indian Institute of Management.

Although Raghu wants to be a monk, his parents think the opposite. Raghu's mind is full of pilgrimage to Mount Kailash. But the parents do not agree. Their fear is that if he indulges in such thoughts, their son will run away from the responsibilities of material life.

Raghu puts forward a proposal in front of the parents who are struggling to get their son married somehow: Parents must first give permission for the pilgrimage to Mount Kailash. He can get married after that wish is fulfilled. The parents reluctantly agreed.

Raghu started his journey on a bike in the excitement of realizing his dream which was burning in his mind like a candle. In this book, the novelist presents the amazing things that happen in his journey and thoughts with a sprinkling of intense emotion. Raghu's mind travels without the boundaries of past, present and future. During the journey, Raghu faces many obstacles. However, the desire rooted in his mind energized him on the journey.

The book, published by Garuda Prakashan Pvt.Ltd, costs Rs 249 in India and BD 2.5 dinars in Bahrain. The book is available at City Mart, opposite Hoora Golden Sands, and at the Goyal Bookstore in Gudaibiya.
