Trucks with electric motors unveiled by Tesla: Report

Electric truck manufacturer Tesla revealed in its new quarterly financial results report that it has developed a fleet of electric trucks powered by its 'Tesla Semi' electric motors.

However, Auto-tech website Electrek reported on Wednesday that there is no information regarding production and deliveries.

Despite the fact that the Semi has already been delayed a few times, and was originally scheduled to arrive in 2019 already, the situation around the Tesla Semi has been unclear.

There has been confusion surrounding the Tesla Semi for the last few months. It has already been delayed several times, as it originally was supposed to arrive in 2019.

However, Tesla confirmed last year that customer deliveries of the Tesla Semi are pushing back to 2022 despite making progress toward bringing its electric semi-trucks to low-volume production in Nevada.

Gigafactory Nevada was spotted with some new prototypes over the last few months, the report stated.

Tesla did not mention its Semi production status in its earnings report today, but it did release a photo of four brand new units.

They appear to be parked at Tesla's new Megacharger station at Gigafactory Nevada, where the automaker has deployed some low-volume production capacity, as per the report.

While Tesla didn't comment on the status of the vehicle programme in the earnings report, the company could comment on it in the following conference call.
