Pfizer CEO sweats before queries at World Economic Forum

Davos: At the World Economic Forum, pharmaceutical giant Pfizer faced a series of tough questions on the efficacy of its Covid-19 vaccine. CEO Albert Bourla ignored many of the queries, and the footage of the same has gone viral on the Internet, Asian News International reported.
A journalist from the Rebel News charged a set of uncomfortable questions at the Bourla, and one among them enquired why the firm kept secret the fact that its vaccine would never stop Covid-19 transmission.
In the viral video, the journalists asked, "You (Pfizer) said it was 100 per cent effective, then 90 per cent, then 80 per cent, then 70 per cent, but we now know that the vaccines do not stop transmission. Why do you keep that secret?"
The CEO kept ducking the questions and only said, "Thank you very much" and "Have a nice day", ANI quoted.
The journalist then asked if it was time the company apologised to the world and initiated a refund to the countries that bought its vaccines, which allegedly did not yield results.
During the start of the Covid-19 vaccination drive, Pfizer had sought an indemnity bond that would exempt it from legal claims in case there are any adverse effects from the vaccine.
India's minister for state for information and technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, tweeted, "Just to remind all Indians, that Pfizer tried to bully Govt of India into accepting conditions of indemnity," attaching the video.
He accused Congress' Rahul Gandhi, P Chidamabaram and Jairam Ramesh, claiming that these leaders advocated for administering the vaccine in India.
