Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has achieved the prestigious recognition of being declared the best airport in the Asia Pacific region for services, as per the esteemed Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program by the Airports Council International (ACI).

Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group responsible for managing CSMIA, proudly announced this accomplishment on X, emphasising how the Mumbai airport is revolutionising aviation excellence.

"Adani's Mumbai Airport is redefining excellence in aviation! It's now the best in Asia Pacific for Services according to ASQ, in the 40M+ passenger category. With a remarkable feat of handling 1,032 flights in a single day on one runway, we are also leading in Sustainability," Adani wrote in the announcement.

Emphasising their commitment to sustainability, Adani highlighted their operation entirely on 100% green energy, marking the airport's dedication to environmental responsibility. Additionally, he highlighted their achievement of reaching the Level 4+ 'Transition' of the ACA Programme by ACI, aligning CO2 management with global climate objectives. The next aim for Mumbai Airport is to achieve Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2029.

The ACI World's ASQ program is globally recognised for providing airports with tools to measure and enhance passenger satisfaction, business performance, and airport service quality.

This recent recognition adds to CSMIA's accolades from the previous year, where it was awarded the best airport in the 40-million-passenger category for ASQ Awards 2022. The airport also received the prestigious Aviation Sustainability and Environment Award at Wings India Awards, 2022.
