The report by Informa Connect Academy said that Adani would emerge as the second global trillionaire with a net worth of at least one trillion US dollars.

Adani, who is who is ranked 13th on the world billionaire index with a wealth of just under USD 100 billion, will pull off this status if his conglomerate continues to grow at its current 123 percent average annual rate.

The Adani Group has won the long term contract to supply 6,600 MW of bundled renewable and thermal power to Maharashtra, outbidding rivals like JSW Energy and Torrent Power.

Adani Power has to supply solar power at a fixed rate of Rs 2.70 per unit as per the bid condition for the supply period, but coal-based power will be based on coal prices.
