UAE President, Kuwait’s Deputy PM meet in Abu Dhabi

The president of the United Arab Emirates met Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and interior minister in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, holding talks that focused on bilateral ties and regional cooperation.

Sheikh Mohamad bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah at Qasr Al Bahr. According to the UAE news agency WAM, the two officials discussed the relationship between their countries and ways to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They also reviewed coordination within the Gulf Cooperation Council, with both sides noting the value of joint action among member states.



During the meeting, Sheikh Fahad passed on greetings from Kuwait’s Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, along with well-wishes for the UAE’s continued development. He also delivered a message in which the Amir thanked the UAE president for the recent initiative highlighting the long-standing ties between the two nations, launched on 29 January.



The Amir’s message described the gesture as an acknowledgment of the close connection between the people of the UAE and Kuwait. Sheikh Mohamad, in turn, asked Sheikh Fahad to convey his own greetings to the Amir of Kuwait and expressed hopes for ongoing stability and progress for Kuwait under his leadership.
